Our Beers

At present Fulstow Brewery produce six regular beers but have produced over 150 since they started back in 2004 and supply to over 100 different outlets country wide.

The Process

Fulstow beer is produced by using a typical hops, malt, water and yeast process, with no added preservatives,  head retainers or liquid sugars.

" Fulstow",  from the Old English Fugolstow, "holy place or meeting place of a man called Fugol". The name appears in the 1086 Domesday Book  as Fugelestou and in other sources as Fugelstow

'Mash'

This process is where the grain is stirred, the water is added and then the 'mash' is then heated to 72° and left to soak.

'Fermenting'

The next process is to add the remaining ingredients, boil the mixture and then it's left to ferment in a sealed vat.

Finished Product

After the brew has finished its mashing process the contents are drained and separated ready for conditioning, barrelling and bottling.

Of course there are other aspects that go in to the brewing process but that's Phil's little secret!
